Within a day of describing the arrest of popular singer Ghazal Srinivas in connection with the sex racket as a conspiracy by his detractors, Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao changed his tune, apparently under pressure from the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders.
On Wednesday, Manikyal Rao said he had known Ghazal Srinivas since his young age and that he was the most talented singer, propagating Hindu culture across the world.
He suspected that his rivals had fabricated the charges of molestation against him only to defame him.
However, Rao took a complete U-turn on Thursday, after he was trolled in the social media for supporting Ghazal Srinivas.
Moreover, his BJP friends from Telangana sent him the video clippings showing Ghazal Srinivas indulging in unnatural sex with his servant maid and how he was forcing the woman Radio Jockey to do massage for him.
The allegations of the accused having homosexual relations were also brought to his notice.
“I was shocked to see the videos and photos. I never expected that Ghazal Sinu has this ugly side of him also. I only know him as a good singer, but it is unfortunate that he behaved so vulgarly with women,” the minister said, adding that the Telangana government should see that the singer would get the stringent punishment.
Now, the latest news is that Ghazal Sinu would be stripped of his post of Swachch Sarvekshan brand ambassador in Andhra Pradesh as well.
He has already been sacked as the brand ambassador of the Save Temples Committee in Hyderabad.
