L&T Takes U-turn, Praises KCR

Larsen and Toubro, which had hit the headlines for wrong reasons, including its strong reservation against bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and its announcement to drop out from the prestigious Hyderabad Metro Rail project, has now taken a U-turn.

On Tuesday, L&T chairman A M Naik wrote a letter to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, expressing his company’s willingness to join hands with Telangana Government in its efforts to transform the new State to witness all-round development.

In the letter, Naik stated L&T will play a key role in power and infrastructure sectors.

He stated the company was impressed with the vision and plan of the Chief Minister focusing on social and economic development of Telangana.

The L&T is ready to join hands with the government for mutual benefit, he added.

The L&T company will participate in the grand vision of the CM favoring a comprehensive development of the State.

He also stated that long term objectives of KCR will be translated into reality as they will coordinate with the government for mutual benefit. He said he was looking forward for a close interaction with KCR.

Naik also extended an invitation to KCR to pay a visit to their state-of-art manufacturing facility at Surat.
