Lokesh Talks Cricket To Defend TDP Debacle!

Telugu Desam Party national general secretary Nara Lokesh Naidu, son of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, is making a desperate attempt to cover up his party’s miserable performance in the latest Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.

While Naidu was a little philosophical in admitting the TDP’s route in the GHMC polls, Lokesh tried to defend the debacle by comparing elections with cricket matches.

“We have been playing test cricket for the last three decades and had won several matches. We are seasoned players. There is nothing for us to worry, just because we have lost the GHMC polls, which is nothing but a 20-20 cricket match,” he said.

He sought to claim credit for the TDP, saying that it had got 7.5 lakh votes this time, which was one lakh votes more than what it had got in the last GHMC polls.

What he conveniently forgot to mention was that the number of votes he was referring to was for the TDP-BJP combine and not just for the TDP.
