Lokesh protests against BJP with black DP!

Lokesh protests against BJP with black DP!

For quite some time, Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh has been maintaining a very low profile with regard to fighting against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance government at the Centre.

He has left the battle field completely to his father and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

However, of late, Lokesh, too, has been contributing to the party’s fight against the Centre, through social media platform.

He virtually launched a cyber war against the Centre for denying Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh and non-fulfilment of promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act.

He changed his display picture (DP) on his twitter handle with a black background and himself wearing a black badge to register his protest against the Centre. He also made an appeal to all his followers to do the same.

"Let us stand united in making voices of 5 crore citizens of AP heard. To protest the injustice meted out to us by the Centre, change your display pictures to black (Pic 1). Participate in this movement by posting selfie with a black badge (pic 2) & hashtag with #APWearsBlackBadge," Lokesh posted on the twitter.

He called upon the five crore people of the state to remain united and fight for special status.
