Lokesh feels Naidu dampened his spirits!

Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh seems to be disappointed with his father chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for making an open declaration that there could be early polls to the state assembly and Lok Sabha and hence, the party leaders and cadre should gear up for the same.

Somehow, Lokesh is not relishing this idea of early polls. As usual, he exposed his ignorance by saying that his father never meant that there would be early polls in the state. “All that the chief minister told the party cadre was to be prepared for elections, whenever they are held. He never said there would be early polls in the state,” he said.

But Naidu said it very clearly, which Lokesh is trying to cover up. Even after the chief ministers’ conference convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, Naidu told media that there could be simultaneous elections to the state assemblies and Lok Sabha sometime in the second half of 2008.

His statement has put the opposition parties in the state on high alert with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy already taking a plunge into action and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan declaring that he was ready for the early polls.

Probably, Lokesh wants to enjoy the newly-acquired power as a minister for at least a couple of years. That is perhaps why he sought to differ with his own father’s statement.
