Leaders' Security Cut, TDP Vows To Fight

Even as the new-found friendship with AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is still refreshing the minds of people of both the States, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao displayed his utter contempt for the Telangana TDP leaders.

With by-elections to Warangal Parliamentary constituency around the corner, the KCR government shocked the TDP by withdrawing security cover to its party president L Ramana and floor leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao.

The state government issued a GO reducing the security of the duo as security review committee has decided to withdraw armed escorts to these two leaders.

Strongly condemning the move, Telangana TDP leaders said they would write a letter to DGP in this regard.

TDP senior leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that the state government was providing security to local galli leaders whereas it is reducing escorts to senior TDP leaders.

“What was the need of reducing the security to TDP Telangana leaders as they are getting the security cover for the last 20 years,” Errabelli questioned.
