Andhra Pradesh’s principal opposition party YSRCP has alleged that the land pooling process to be taken up by the TDP government will help Chandra Babu and his people and not the farmers in the area.
Party’s official representative, Ambati Rambabu said that by taking land from small and medium range farmers, TDP leaders like Sujana Choudhary and Uma Maheswara Rao will benefit the most.
He demanded a survey must be carried out as to who had bought lands after Chandra Babu was voted to power, following which a decision has to be taken.
Rambabu also said that the government was trying to cover up for Minister Pullarao, Sujana Choudhary, Galla Jaydev, Gangaraju, Yarapatineni, Akula Satyanarayana saying that they did not own lands and were not into real estate business.
People no longer trusted Babu after he went back on his promise to waiver farm loans, he said.
Had the farmers trusted Babu, they would have given the land willingly. But their lack of trust is making them to oppose the government said Rambabu.
He also demanded as to why Babu was silent about the Rs 4 to 5 crores he had requested from the Centre in the past for capital development.
