Lagadapati Wants To Play Kabaddi In LS!

Even as the Union Cabinet is going ahead with jet speed in getting the A P Reorganization Bill (Telangana bill) passed in the Parliament in the next few days, die-hard integrationist and Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal is still hoping against hope on stalling the bill in the Parliament.

Lagadapati on Saturday expressed the hope that the President Pranab Mukherjee would reject the Telangana Bill.

He said that the UPA Government wanted to utilize the President as a Rubber stamp, but Pranab Mukherjee would give a fitting lesson to the Government.

“We will do everything in their power to see that the Telangana Bill is stalled in Parliament. The Seemandhra Ministers had the power to stop the Bill,” he said.

The MP said that they were proceeding with different strategies to prevent division of the State, and they would play ‘kabbaddi’ in the House.

If the Seemandhra Ministers trooped into the well of the House at the time of introduction of the Bill in Rajya Sabha, the Bill would be stalled.

He reiterated that they would make every effort to keep the State united.

He said that the Union Cabinet giving its approval to the Bill, which was rejected by the State Assembly, was unfortunate.
