Kotla To Take A Plunge Into TDP?

Kotla To Take A Plunge Into TDP?

If the reports from the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh are to be believed, former Union Minister Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy, who represented Kurnool in the Lok Sabha in the past, is likely to join the Telugu Desam Party sooner or later.

According to sources, Kotla felt humiliated during a public meeting addressed by Rahul Gandhi at Bandlapalli in Anantapur district a couple of days ago, as he was not allowed to get on to the dais by the Special Protection Group cops.

The local Congress leaders, too, ignored him, while APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy, too, did not bother to console Kotla.

As a result, he walked out of the meeting and closeted with his followers immediately to decide his future course of action. He reportedly told them that it was difficult to continue in the Congress party which had no future in the State.

It is learnt the YSR Congress party leadership is trying to lure Kotla into the party, as being the son of former Chief Minister Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy, he is definitely a strong force in the district.

However, sources said Kotla is preferring the TDP as it is picking up a lot in the district. May be he got some assurance from Chandrababu Naidu, sources said.
