Later speaking to media Sridhar said: “After seeing the way Jagan has been conducting his role as Leader of Opposition, I am very much impressed and am sure that he would become chief minister and win a mandate in the 2019 elections.”

He said he would be formally joining the YSR Congress party at a public meeting  to be held at Dwaraka Tirumala in West Godavari district on January 29.

Subashchandra Bose who also spoke to the media said that Sridhar hails from a political family and has full grasp over the developments in West Godavri district and his presence would strengthen the party very much.
