KK for Andhra, KVP for Telangana!

In a peculiar development, hardcore Telangana protagonist K Kesava Rao has been allocated to Seemandhra region as the Rajya Sabha MP, while hardcore integrationist K V P Ramachandra Rao has been declared as Telangana MP.

In the wake of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh effective from June 2, Rajya Sabha chairman Hamid Ansari on Friday completed the process of allocation of the Rajya Sabha members from the united Andhra Pradesh, to the two new States.

The Chairman did the work through lottery. Eleven of the Rajya Sabha members were allotted to the residuary Andhra Pradesh, and seven to Telangana state.

The Members allotted to Telangana are: V Hanumantha Rao, G Sudharani, Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, Palwai Goverdhan Reddy, C M Ramesh, KVP Ramachandra Rao and G Rammohan Rao.

Those allotted to Seemandra are: T  Devender Goud, Chiranjeevi, Sujana Chowdhary, Jairam Ramesh, T Subbirami Reddy, JD Seelam,  Renuka Chowdhary, K Keshava Rao, M A Khan and Seetharama Lakshmi. One seat that fell  vacant duen to the demise of N Janardhan Reddy  has been allotted to Seemandhra.
