Kesineni Still Hounding Transport Dept

It has been more than two months since Telugu Desam Party MP from Vijayawada Kesineni Srinivas alias Nani has quit his much-popular transport business – Kesineni Travels.

The main reason for winding up his transport business was the heavy losses he was incurring, but at the same time, he was also not happy with the way the transport department had not cooperated with him but encouraged other competitors.

So, even after quitting the transport business, Kesineni has been continuing to target the transport department officials.

The other day, he brought to light the illegal registration of buses by certain private operators in Arunachal Pradesh, which resulted in cancellation of registration of 900 buses in AP.

Yet, he is not happy with the department for not taking action against these bus operators.

On Thursday, Kesineni brought to the notice of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu that the transport department authorities were indulging in corrupt practices.

Alleging that the RTC and Transport department officials are involved in widespread corruption, Kesineni appealed Naidu to take serious action against the corrupted officials in the RTC, Transport department.

The TDP MP further stated that the private travel buses have found ways to evade tax as they are registering vehicles in other states but exuded confidence on Chandrababu to bring the RTC into profits shortly.
