KCR's Warangal sojourn only for politics

KCR's Warangal sojourn only for politics

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmiah has accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of sojourning in Warangal and showering reliefs purely for political gain and not for welfare of the people.

Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Ponnala criticized KCR saying that the latter did not utter a word regarding farmers’ suicides and pensioners’ problems.

The TPCC chief further said in view of the ensuing municipal elections, KCR laid foundation stones at Warangal.

He also alleged that KCR laid foundation stone for construction of 5,000 houses for poor in his Assembly constituency, but later he abandoned the project, he added.

Ponnala also alleged that within 200 days of KCR’s rule, over 600 farmers committed suicides due to criminal negligence of the government.

He also criticized KCR for not caring to meet  families of Telangana martyrs even today.

Stating that KCR has been continuously making false promises for political gain in Municipal elections in Warangal and Khammam districts, Ponnala charged the Chief Minister with ignoring earlier commitments.

He demanded that the CM take up Bhupalapally 800 MW power project III phase which was proposed by the previous Congress government.

If the project was completed early, there will be no problem of power shortage in the Sate, he opined.
