KCR Turns A Good Host For K'taka MLAs

Telangana Rashtra Samithi government headed by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao proved to be a good host to the Congress and Janata Dal MLAs from Karnataka, who drove to Hyderabad all the way from Bengaluru on Friday to escape from poaching by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Over 100 MLAs belonging to the two parties arrived in Hyderabad from Bengaluru in three buses belonging to SRS Travels and Orange Travels.

With JD (S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda speaking to KCR well in advance, the TRS government provided all security to the MLAs both at Taj Krishna and Novotel Hotels, besides Pragathi Resorts at Chilkur.

KCR personally asked his party leaders to see that there was no trouble from the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders from anywhere.

He also instructed the authorities to see that all the MLAs take special flights to return to Bengaluru on Friday night or Saturday morning to take part in the floor-test for the B S Yeddyurappa government in the state assembly at 4 pm on Saturday.

The TRS chief has actually called for the defeat of the Congress party in the recent Karnataka elections. However, since JD (S) is now planning to form government with the Congress, he is supporting it. So, he did not bother to help the Congress MLAs as well.

Telangana PCC chief Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy and other Congress leaders also took the police help to see that the MLAs were accommodated in Taj Krishna and Novotel hotels. The parties used six different buses to mislead the poachers.
