KCR Trying To Bribe The Central Leaders?

The decision of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to send a gift hamper containing saree, dhoti and a special gift – all worth around Rs 50,000, to each of the top national leaders including Prime Minister, Central ministers and top officials, has drawn flak from the opposition.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that distribution of clothes by the IT Minister KT Rama Rao amounted to bribery.

It was like contractors giving gifts in the same manner to the officials after completing their works, he pointed out.

Bhatti recalled that KCR had asked the people to hit the corrupt officials with chappals, if they asked bribe for any work.

“Now, he should tell what people should do if bribe is given in the form of gifts,” he asked.

He also wondered how KCR could give gifts to the Central leaders and officials with money drawn from public exchequer.

Responding to a question, Bhatti said that if the place where Nagarjuna Sagar project was constructed was wrong, then KCR has to construct another project at Nandikonda.

Alleging that KCR was just changing the names of projects designed by the previous Congress government, the TPCC working president said that KCR was stating that Kaleswaram project was new one, but it was new only to companies and some individuals.

Exuding confidence that the Congress party will be in good place than TRS party in the next elections, Bhatti said that there was no clarity on Nalgonda Parliament by-elections.
