KCR Hints At Early Polls In Telangana!

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday hinted at the possibility of conducting early assembly elections in Telangana.

While admitting former minister Danam Nagender into the TRS, KCR exuded confidence that his party would secure a bumper majority in the assembly elections.

He said he was ready to face early elections in order to continue the developmental projects he has undertaken during the last four years.

He said that the TRS would request the Centre to conduct early elections in Telangana. A decision in this regard has been taken after a weeklong brain storming session at his farm house on the outskirts of Gajwel, his constituency.

“Time has come to declare the decision as we are confident of securing maximum number of seats. Our survey says that we will get more than 60 per cent of votes in 82 Assembly segments,” KCR said.

He challenged Congress to respond to his claim.

“The Congress is itching for a change of guard. Lee us see if they are ready for early elections,” he said. He brushed aside the claims of BJP saying that it doesn’t have the backing of people of the state.

The Chief Minister further said that he would seek the Election Commission of India to prepone the elections of the state.

“There is need to secure mandate of the people as Congress party is trying to create stumbling blocks on the path of development that we chose,” he said reminding cadre that  the opposition party filed 196 cases against the prestigious Kaleshwaram project.
