Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP from Nizamabad Kalvakuntla Kavitha appears to be keen on joining the Narendra Modi cabinet at the Centre, but has left the decision to her father – chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
When media on Wednesday asked her about the TRS joining the National Democratic Alliance, Kavitha did not rule out the possibility. She said KCR, being the party president, would take a decision on that.
“His decision is final in so far as joining the Modi cabinet,” Kavitha said.
She, however, made it clear that there had been no talks with the NDA leadership on the TRS joining the Central cabinet. There was no truth in the reports that the TRS was supporting the demonetisation decision taken by the Prime Minister only for joining the NDA.
“We have taken the decision to support Modi only in the best interest of the state and only under unavoidable circumstances,” she clarified.
