The war of words in the social media and electronic media between Telugu film critic Kathi Mahesh and fans of actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has now gone to the police station.
Mahesh on Friday lodged a complaint with the Madhapur police station against unknown persons, who he alleged were fans of actor Pawan Kalyan, for attacking him with eggs at Madhapur while he was going to his residence.
The case was registered under SC/ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act.
He said he firmly believed that it was the handiwork of Pawan Kalyan’s fans, as they had been indulging in verbal attack in the social media for several months.
“This is the most shameful thing on the part of Pawan Kalyan’s fans. I will not leave them or their hero. I will drag him to the court,” Kathi Mahesh said.
However, Pawan’s fans responded strongly.
“It is a big drama by Kathi Mahesh. There was absolutely no crowd at Madhapur at 11 pm and so, there was no way somebody would throw egg at his belly, when he was sitting in the rear seat. Why no eggs had hit the driver, but only Mahesh?” a fan argued.
“Mahesh is doing it for cheap publicity,” he alleged.
In any case, Mahesh is trying to use the incident to step up his campaign against Pawan Kalyan.
As usual, the power star has not responded to any of these allegations.
