Kanna Comes Out Of Shell, Rips Naidu Apart!

Former Congress minister and present Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kanna Lakshminarayana has been maintaining stoic silence for the last few months, as he has not been given enough freedom by the party leadership.

Even after Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu pulled out of the National Democratic Alliance, snapped ties with the BJP and has been attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly betraying the state, Kanna has not uttered a word.

For that matter, even his colleague form the Congress party Daggubati Purandeshwari also has not been making any statements. They have left the field to other BJP leaders like Somu Veerraju, P Vishnu Kumar Raju and Manikyala Rao. Apparently, Kanna was not happy with the way the party leadership ignored his name for consideration as the state BJP chief.

But on Thursday, Kanna suddenly came out of the shell and launched a scathing attack on Naidu.

Accusing Naidu of degrading the self-respect of Telugus in Delhi by meeting various party leaders, including film stars like Hema Malini, the BJP leader said the TDP president had never cared a damn for the interests of the state.

“Naidu made several tall promises left, right and centre before the elections and as he realised that he is not able to fulfil the same, he started blaming the Centre and Modi.

“In order to cover up his failures, he is attacking the BJP. He praised the special package given by the Centre and even lauded it in the assembly, but now he has taken a U-turn and fell in the trap of YSR Congress party on special category status and is blaming the BJP,” he said.

Kanna accused Naidu of misusing the Central funds and the TDP leaders were enjoying the taxes collected from the people.

“There is no democracy in Andhra Pradesh,” he alleged.
