Kanna begins consolidation of Kapus!

Former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana, who had been appointed as the president of Andhra Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday, seems to have begun his task even before he formally took the charge.

Within hours of getting the notification from Delhi, Kanna started the exercise of consolidation of Kapus against the Telugu Desam Party government headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He held serious deliberations with Kapu strongman and another former minister Mudragada Padmanabham, who came to meet Kanna at his residence in Guntur district.

Mudragada, who has been spreading the movement for Kapu reservations for the last three years, could not take the movement for Kapu quota forward because of the repressive measures being adopted by the Naidu government and also lack of cooperation from other political parties.

He has been desperately looking for a strong support from the BJP, ever since the party had parted ways with the TDP a few weeks ago.

He has been writing letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to take action against Chandrababu Naidu and throw him behind the bars.

Now that Kanna became the BJP state president, Mudragada felt rejuvenated. On Sunday, he held talks with Kanna on talking the movement forward.

Apparently, Kanna also assured him that he would take the initiative in Kapu reservations issue and expose Naidu’s double standards in this regard.
