Just 500 Cr For AP in Union Budget!

Just 500 Cr For AP in Union Budget!

The Union Budget once again underscores the step-motherly treatment being meted out to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre. The total allocations to Andhra Pradesh hardly come to Rs 500 crore.

To the Polavaram project which is of paramount importance to the State, the Center has allotted a paltry Rs 100 crore.

Primary educational institutions such as IIT, IIM etc have been given Rs 40 crore apiece.

While Naidu keeps asking money in thousands of crore for each project of his, the Center seems to be computing the square root of that amount and sanctioning it to Andhra Pradesh.

We have two TDP union ministers in the form of Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary. Then there is Venkayya Naidu who has proved himself as an insult to the Telugu people. All three of them obviously carry zero influence at the Center.

When will Andhra Pradesh, the only Telugu speaking state in the country get a genuine leader who can stand up and fight for the rights of the people?
