YSR Congress party spokesman and MLC Jupudi Prabhakar on Saturday resigned from the party stating that he was not enjoying any respect in the party any longer.
Addressing a press conference at Somajiguda press club here, Prabhakar who got emotional stated that he was defeated in the recent elections at the behest of YV Subba Reddy who led the YCP into a shambles by losing poor and active workers. He resigned as official spokesman and member of YCP central committee.
Prabhakar expressed serious disappointment over Subba Reddy’s comment that he does not know Jupudi.
Releasing a letter faxed to Jagan Reddy Jupudi stated that he cannot stay put in the party as he failed to get respect.
The YCP is being misguided by some vested interests and the party affairs are not up to the ideas of YSR, he observed.
He stated that he was in Central services before joining the YCP receiving a call from YSR who used to give respect and offered a free hand to serve people.
Despite all odds I was in the party having great respect to the YSR he said adding that YCP has lost all dedicated poor activists with insecurity.
