YSR Congress party is all set to receive a rude shock with one of its key leaders and MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao deciding to join the Telugu Desam Party.
According to TDP sources, Jupudi had a meeting with TDP MP C M Ramesh on Saturday morning and had agreed to cross floor in the Legislative Council.
All these days, Jupudi had been a trusted lieutenant of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and had attacked the TDP strongly in the past on many occasions.
Besides, at least nine other MLCs belonging to the Congress party are also expected to join the TDP. They are: Tippe Swamy, Indira, Reddappa Reddy, Chaitanya Raju, Srinivasulu Naidu, Ravi Varma, Pullaiah, Sheik Hussain and Ilapuram Venkaiah.
The defections might take place any time, say sources.
