The Hyderabad High Court on Friday gave a veiled threat to the agitating judges and other staff of various courts of Telangana that action would be taken against them if they do not withdraw their agitation.
In a press release in the name of the registrar, the acting chief justice of the High Court and other judges declared the agitation by Telangana judges as illegal.
“We once again appeal to them to withdraw their ‘illegal’ agitation and start functioning immediately in the larger interests of the litigating public, more particularly in Telangana. If that does not happen, the High Court may have to consider other options to ensure that the litigant public do not suffer,” the High Court said.
The High Court also appealed to the advocates to withdraw their strike and start attending to courts leaving it to the court to deal with all the issues and demands in accordance with the law and as per due procedure.
