JC: In No Man's Land

JC: In No Man's Land

Politics of frustration have let JC Diwakar, an extremely frustrated man. It was pathetic to watch him lash out at YS Jagan the other day just to earn a smile from Chandrababu Naidu.

Chandrababu needed JC on his side just for the sake of arithmetic whereas JC knew that Congress was buried and gone, hence he had to switch over to the TDP to continue enjoying the privileges of power.

The Tadipatri strongman was actually keen on switching over to the YSRCP but things didn’t work out between JC and Jagan as the latter did not give any extra deferential treatment to him. But seniority as a politician did not help land a Minister’s post for his brother Prabhakar Reddy. Their attempts to expand their base in Anantpur are also meeting with strong resistance from the Kamma MLA Prabhakar Chowdary.

In other words, despite being in the ruling party, neither are the JC brothers able to expand their turf beyond Tadipatri nor are they enjoying any perks and privileges in the TDP.

Paritala Sunitha and Payyavula Keshav of the TDP are garnering the lion’s share of works and credit in Anantpur district. Besides, the Reddys of Tadipatri had voted for the YSRCP in the last elections much to the chagrin of JC. There is no indication that they would vote for JC again in the next polls or his candidates.

Naturally, all this frustration is pushing JC to make extreme remarks against YS Jagan. Hopefully, his sycophancy to Naidu would be rewarded in the form of a plum post for his brother or an MLA ticket to his son in the next polls.
