If the sources from the Telagana Rashtra Samithi are to be believed, Congress leader and senior actress Jayasudha will join the TRS on July 1.
Jayasudha met TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday and discussed the issue. Sources said she, along with her supporters, will be admitted into the party in the presence of KCR on July 1.
The sources also added that Jayasudha will contest the Sanathnagar by-election on TRS ticket and till then, she will be assigned the important task of garnering support for the TRS, ahead of the elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which have become a matter of prestige for the TRS.
Meanwhile the Congress is also doing its work to suspend Jayasudha from the party and an announcement is expected later this evening.
