Jana wants to give long rope to KCR

Differences cropped up once again among the senior Congress leaders of Telangana on attacking TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Top leaders of the party expressed different views on adopting a strategy on the TRS Government.

The differences came to the fore when the leaders held a meeting after paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the premises.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah said all the leaders of the party have to take on the Government and criticized it for its failure to keep poll promises.

“From time to time, we have to pull up the government for allocation of only 25 per cent of crop loan waiver, power problem, pensions and other top issues”, Ponnala said.

To this, Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy opposed him.

Jana Reddy said they cannot do so as the TRS Government is just four months old. The government will take some more time to implement the schemes to keep the promises, he said.

Jana Reddy reportedly stated that the government seems to be taking more time to implement any schemes.

“Keeping this in view, we have to maintain restraint”, Jana Reddy suggested. But other leaders differed with him. They also proposed that a team of leaders to reach out to console a farmer’s family, who committed suicide in Adilabad on Wednesday.
