Telugu Desam Party MLA from Vijayawada West constituency Jaleel Khan has thoroughly exposed himself with regard to his educational qualifications. He had not done his B Com with mathematics and physics as his subjects, but is only a matriculate.
Jaleel Khan had claimed in an interview to a television channel which went viral in the social media that he had done his B Com. But he is just a Class X pass-out, a fact which he admitted in his affidavit submitted to the Election Commission in 2014.
The affidavit shows he had passed matriculation from Shad Tutorial College, Vijayawada, in 1969.
He told a national newspaper, which posted his version in its website on Thursday that he had studied only matriculation in Vijayawada. He joined the PUC, but discontinued the course to take up business. He denied the reports that he had done B Com.
In an interview to the channel a couple of days ago, Jaleel Khan said he had done B Com because he was very much interested in mathematics and physics.
He even countered the reporter who told him that the two subjects are not taught in B Com. He said they were indeed part of B Com and he had studied them.
Now, he says the reporter had misled him and distorted his statement. He now says he had studied physics and mathematics in matriculation and not B Com. He is happy for being in the news for right or wrong reasons.
