Jagan's Tit-For-Tat To Naidu On Defections?

The defection of YSR Congress party MLA from Pamarru in Krishna district Uppuleti Kalpana into the Telugu Desam Party is no doubt a big jolt to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, but the latter has immediately started counter-offensive against TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

According to sources in the YSR Congress party, Jagan is said to have instructed his party leaders to trap TDP leader Varla Ramaiah and bring him into the party. And sources said there is a positive response from Ramaiah for the offer from YSR Congress party.

Ramaiah, who resigned from his police inspector job, lost the 2014 elections from Pamarru in the hands of Kalpana. Now that she is joining the TDP, he is now feeling insecure. More than that, he is not happy with the way Naidu is giving importance to Kalpana by promising her the assembly seat in 2019, besides Lok Sabha ticket to her husband from Bapatla.

Though Ramaiah expected that he would be given at least MLC seat, Naidu has ignored him completely. He is at present confined to the post of party spokesman and with the entry of Kalpana, he has now lost all the hopes on his future position in the party. Hence, he might take the offer from Jaganmohan Reddy, say sources.
