If the reports coming from Guntur are any indication, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy might be compelled to call off his fast at Guntur on Sunday.
According to reliable sources, the government has directed the Guntur police to forcibly end Jagan’s fast by Sunday evening so that there would not be any disturbance to the arrangements being made for the foundation laying ceremony of Amaravati, the new capital city.
If the fast continues and YSR Congress party continues to mobilise crowds to the venue, it would be an embarrassment to Naidu.
Sources said even Jagan does not want to continue fast for long, as the crowds attending the fast are gradually thinning.
The response from the mobilized crowds, too, is not too encouraging. Before it becomes a dull affair, Jagan wants to be shifted to hospital but not before creating hungama, sources said.
