Jagan To Pre-Empt Naidu Plan On 4th RS Seat

Amidst reports that another 10-12 MLAs from YSR Congress party are expected to cross flood to the Telugu Desam Party by this month end, YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has come out with a master plan to stall TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s plan to win the fourth Rajya Sabha seat.

Jagan is planning to move the Supreme Court in a day or two questioning the defection of 16 YSRC MLAs into the TDP, since Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao is not taking any action on his petition to disqualify the defecting MLAs.

Jagan has gained the confidence following the Supreme Court verdict on the defecting MLAs in Uttarakhand. He also wants to implead in the Uttarakhand case with his own party example. He is engaging senior lawyer Harish Salve to argue his case.

If the Supreme Court admits the petition, it will prevent further exodus of his party MLAs into the TDP. This will pre-empt Naidu’s strategy of engineering more defections and winning the fourth Rajya Sabha seat.
