Jagan to file defamation suit against TDP

Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday warned that he would file a defamation suit against the Telugu Desam party leaders if they failed to stop making false allegations that he was involved in the murder of TDP leader Paritala Ravindra.

Jaganmohan Reddy, while accusing the TDP government of indulging in murder politics, alleged that 11 YSRCP activists were done to death and 119 were injured during the TDP rule in Anantapur district.

In the first day of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Jagan took serious exception to the TDP leaders for trying to target him in the name of Ravi’s murder. Condemning the allegations made by the ruling party leaders, Jagan said though Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu knows that “we are not involved” in the murder, the TDP leaders were trying to drag me into it. “They must stop making such false allegations otherwise I will pull them to court.

The YSRCP chief also said he will file a similar case against a section of the media supporting the TDP. Jagan said the court has already punished the guilty involved in the case. He sought to know whether the TDP leadership could have given tickets to JC Brothers if we are involved in the case. He also asked the government as to why it failed to demand a CBI inquiry into Vangaveeti Mohanaranga murder case. It is wrong to attribute each and every such incident to the YSRCP, he added.
