YSRCP head Jagan is consciously planning a strategy to ensure that his party has a future in Telangana. He has announced that his sister Sharmila will be starting her ‘odarpu’ yatra from Huzoor Nagar.
It is obvious that he is simulating the same strategy that he used to win over people in Seemandhra through his sister in Telangana.
In the past, despite Sonia Gandhi advising him not to go on a odarpu yatra, Jagan stuck to his plan and toured Seemandhra extensively. This helped him get a good image among people as he spent months touring various places.
In a way, the yatra actually kick-started his political career and got him huge public support and sympathy.
Now, Sharmila will be touring Telangana starting from Huzoor Nagar. Earlier, when Jagan wanted to do a odarpu yatra in Telangana, it became a huge issue as people resented him due to his Samaikyandhra stand. Now, since Telangana has become a reality, the circumstances are bound to change.
Hence, Jagan is training his sister to lead the party in Telangana during the next five years and establish its roots in the region.
