Jagan Says No To Separate Seema Demand?

Jagan Says No To Separate Seema Demand?

If the reports in a section of media are to be believed, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has decided against supporting the demand for separate Rayalaseema State.

Jagan is learnt to have instructed his party MLAs and leaders like M V Mysoora Reddy and G Srikanth Reddy not to make any statement on separate Rayalaseema demand, leave alone participating in the agitations and programmes in support of the demand by any group.

As such, no leader from YSRC would be attending the much-publicised convention of Rayalaseema leaders proposed to be held in Tirupati on December 14.

Apparently, this has upset several YSR Congress party leaders who were taking pro-active role in the movement for Rayalaseema till recently. In fact, they had already contributed funds for the Tirupati meeting. But after Jagan’s order, they have all gone into silent mode.

Jagan reportedly told them that the meeting on bauxite at Chintapalli on Thursday was tremendous success and it is the beginning of the downfall for Chandrababu Naidu government.

He said he was trying to improve the party position in coastal Andhra and at this juncture, if the party leaders rake up separate Seemand demand, it would be counterproductive for the party, he told them.
