It's Naidu-Sponsored Survey, Says YSRC

After keeping silent for two days, YSR Congress party has reacted finally on why Sakshi media house had ignored the survey conducted by Centre for Media Studies on the performance of the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh.

YSR Congress party official spokesman Ambati Rambabu said the CMS survey had no credibility, as it was sponsored completely by Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu.

“It is very clear from the survey that it was a sponsored one, only to project that all is well with Naidu government and that he has no alternative. Even before 2004 elections, this CMS had predicted that Naidu would come back to power for a third term; but what happened in the elections was totally reverse,” he said.

What Ambati has failed to acknowledge is that the survey was more critical against Naidu than being positive. It made some very serious observations against the performance of the Naidu government, stating that it had failed to win the confidence of the people and that there was growing unrest among the people over non-implementation of promises.

Why it said Naidu had no alternative at present was because YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had failed to capitalise on Naidu’s failures. Since it made some critical remarks against Jagan, Ambati feels it is Naidu sponsored.

Interestingly, the survey gave all pat to the KCR government in Telangana and predicted emergence of an alternative political force in AP. If the survey is sponsored by Naidu, can the agency make such observations?
