Is Vundavalli Eyeing Jagan Party?

It looks like former MP and hardcore Samaikyandhra protagonist Vundavalli Arun Kumar is looking for a second innings in politics by joining the YSR Congress party.

It was evident from the way Vundavalli came in strong support of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has commenced fast unto death at Guntur on Wednesday for achieving special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

“There is justice in Jagan’s demand. I sincerely wish Jagan’s deeksha will be a grand success and he will move the Centre and secure special status to AP,” he said in New Delhi.

Though Vundavalli had been critical of Jagan before 2014 elections as he was playing active role in the Congress party then, he has become silent in this regard after the bifurcation of the State.

In fact, he even issued statements in the past appreciating Jagan’s stand against bifurcation. He has been in political hibernation since then.

Of late, he started surfacing again attacking the Chandrababu Naidu government on various issues, including Naidu’s failure on special status to AP and construction of Pattiseema project , in tune with the Jagan ideology.

May be, he thought he was sending feelers to Jagan for taking him into the party. And why not, Jagan has all the chances of emerging as a powerful alternative by 2019 elections!
