Hyd Metro Rail Pillars Used To Please KCR!

Hyderabad Metro Rail managing director NVS Reddy is what one can call a 'smart man'. He is known for appeasing his 'higher-ups' and protecting his post and chair, come what may.

Now, ever since he has been appointed the MD, four chief ministers have changed and united Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated into two states. Still, he has managed to cling to his post and he has been heading the Metro Rail project on behalf of the state government.

In fact, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao who was leading the Telangana agitation was angry with Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and NVS Reddy for making proposals to demolish heritage places like Sultan Bazaar, Putlibowli, Mozamjahi Market, etc. In fact, at the time, he also held dharnas against Reddy.

So, after bifurcation, when KCR took over as the chief minister, everyone believed that Reddy's days were numbered. However, 16 months later, NVS Reddy has only become stronger.

Officials says that it is thanks to his 'smart' move wherein he had colourful posters of Telangana state celebrations put up on Metro Rail pillars.

First he had KCR posters during Godavari pushkaralu and now he has done the same for Bathukamma festival. Interestingly, these posters carry smiling pictures of KCR greeting viewers.

However, Metro Officials had imposed a ban on sticking posters on Metro pillars as they would deface them. However, the MD himself has been violating the norms for obvious reasons.

Naturally, other government officials are surprised at Reddy's smart moves and this has become a point of debate in offices right now.
