How Lokesh Misuses Power As CM's Son!

Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh Information Technology minister and son of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has once again become a subject of trolling in the social media for hoisting national flag atop the residence in Vundavalli in the new capital city of Amaravati on the Indian Independence Day on Wednesday.

Lokesh unfurled the national flag on the terrace of his house as his wife Brahmani and son Devansh looked on along with a few staff members.

Strictly speaking, there is nothing wrong in hoisting the national flag atop any residence or apartments. In fact, in many government offices, the flag is unfurled on the top of the buildings.

But Lokesh, being a minister and that, too, son of the chief minister, should not have done that.

He could have got the flag post erected in front of the house or in the adjacent office premises and unfurl the flag. It should have given a gracious look. But hoisting national flag atop the house is being seen many of his detractors as a “lethargic behaviour.”

More than that, what angered the netizens was the way he used the police forces for the event.

The armed police personnel gave a salute as Lokesh hoisted the national flag and played the national anthem on the terrace of his house.

Even if one were to defend it on the pretext that it was the chief minister’s residence and hence, the police salute had to be given while hoisting the flag, it was not right for using them on the terrace of his house. This is nothing but sheer misuse of power.

YSR Congress party did not lose the opportunity to take a dig at Lokesh.

Vijay Sai Reddy immediately tweeted: “Lokesh Naidu is the only minister in the country who hoisted National Flag on 15th August 2018 at home’s Roof top that too with a salute from cops. Utter lethargy and Sheer misuse of power.”
