In what way power star Pawan Kalyan and his estranged wife Renu Desai are related to the ongoing political slugfest between the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party?
Well, it like relating to one’s knee with his bald head. But that is what maverick Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy says.
The TDP has recently announced that it is pulling out two of its central ministers from the Narendra Modi cabinet. But at the same time, it said it would continue to be part of the National Democratic Alliance and remain an ally of the BJP. That has surprised many.
Asked to explain about this paradoxical situation, Diwakar Reddy said: “What is so strange about it? We have divorced the BJP but will continue to be friendly with it because we need to take care of the state’s needs. It is like film star Pawan Kalayn continuing to maintain cordial relationship with Renu Desai, even after giving her divorce, for the sake of the children’s future.”
“Pawan and Renu continue to meet regularly. So, there is nothing wrong in TDP trying to be friendly with the BJP even after breaking the alliance,” he explained.
What a logic, Mr JC?
