The attempts of power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan to get into political limelight are looking very funny and non-serious.
At a time when the political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh is getting heated up over the injustice done to AP in the Central budget, Pawan is meeting people who are politically insignificant to the state – former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Lok Satta chief Jayaprakash Narayan.
On Thursday, Pawan met JP and discussed the issue of forming a joint action committee to fight for special category status to AP. Nothing has emerged out of the meeting, except that both Pawan and JP patted each other’s back.
On the other hand, Vundavalli wondered how he could help Pawan Kalyan in his mission.
“I am politically nowhere and has been keeping away from electoral politics, though I have been responding on people’s issues. I wonder why Pawan thought I would help him,” he said.
He, however, welcomed Pawan’s proposal to float a JAC.
"It is good that Pawan wants to do something, which I feel is a welcome sign. But I don’t know what exactly Pawan is fighting for and what my role will be. I will meet him in Hyderabad on Saturday to know his mind,” Vundavalli said.
