A few days back, Mani Ratnam had complained of breathlessness and he was admitted to a hospital in New Delhi. Of course, since it was close after the success of Ok Kanmani which has revived the image of Mani Ratnam, the media went into a frenzy reporting about it.
Well, two days ago, his wife Suhasini Mani Ratnam posted a selfie saying ‘we are okay’ and followed it up with another tweet saying that they were back in kathiri veyyil or cutting heat in Chennai.
Though Mani was in Srinagar when he complained of breathlessness, he was immediately flown into Delhi for medical support. In the past, Mani had suffered cardiac arrests in 2004 and 2009 when he was working for Yuva and Raavan respectively.
And once they were safely home, the couple went off to catch a show of Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain.
Well, it is known that Suhasini happens to be niece of Kamal Haasan and what better medicine than laughter to keep one going?
