Prior to the 2014 elections, it was Ramakrishna Reddy who used to call all the shots in the YSRCP.
Whether it was to meet Jagan or some high ranking YSRCP leader, financial affairs or Party tickets, the name of Ramakrishna Reddy was bandied about.
All that seems to have changed with the arrival of Vijay Sai Reddy on the scene. Vijay Sai Reddy is now the chief interlocutor for Jagan on all and any issues related to the Party.
Recently, Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao was highly displeased with the arrival of his arch-rival Bothsa Satyanarayana into the YSRCP and was seriously contemplating quitting the Party.
However, Vijay Sai Reddy successfully managed to pacify him and retain him in the Party fold. This has further enhanced the prestige of Vijay Sai Reddy in the eyes of Jagan.
Since he is comparatively new to politics, his soft-spoken nature is also proving to be an asset in negotiations with various party leaders and has made him an acceptable proposition.
Other seniors like Mysoora Reddy and Ramakrishna Reddy are also believed to have taken a back seat to Vijay Sai Reddy. Last heard, Vijay Sai is also in the race for a Rajya Sabha MP ticket.
