It looks like power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan was completely taken for a big ride by his so-called chief political strategist “Dev.”
After social media and later mainstream media started unearthing the credentials of this Dev, the Jana Sena Party leaders have gone on the defensive. They told media that they had no idea about the background of Dev and they do not know how he had come in touch with Pawan Kalyan.
“He keeps coming to the office regularly,” they said.
In their private conversations, the JSP leaders admitted that they were not aware that the so-called strategist’s actual name was Vasudev and that he was closely related to Congress leader and former deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha.
In fact, the Congress leader admitted to the meida that Vasudev was his nephew and said as far as he knew, Vasudev was still a member of the BJP.
Inquiries revealed that Vasudev had tried for a BJP ticket for Sanathnagar assembly constituency, but as part of alliance, it had gone to the TDP.
“After that, nobody knows how he had become political strategist. He claims to have a team of 40 members, but nobody knows that the name of his organisation is and for which party it had worked in the past,” they said.
Apparently, Dev tried to give a build-up before Pawan Kalyan that he was out of AP for a quite long time and that he did not know Telugu much.
“But he has turned out to be from Chintal Basti and that he can speak Telugu very well in a typical Hyderabadi style. The video clipping of his Telugu speech praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also doing rounds in the social media,” a journalist said.
