If speculations are to be believed, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is contemplating dropping his nephew and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao from the Cabinet in the name of utilizing strengthening the party.
According to these speculations, KCR is likely to reshuffle the Cabinet next week and Harish Rao is likely to be the surprising target for him.
The Chief Minister will drop him from the Cabinet on the pretext that the services of Harish would be utilized for the party.
He is likely to be made the General Secretary of the party and will be entrusted with the responsibility of strengthening the cadre at all levels by extensively touring villages.
Obviously, KCR is under the impression that Harish would be a threat for his leadership and the growth of his son K T Rama Rao and daughter Kavitha, for the simple reason that he has earned a lot of good name among the people.
The “Mission Kakatiya” has brought a lot of fame to Harish Rao, rather than to KCR, while the Water Grid programme of KTR is yet to take off.
If Harish is continued in the Cabinet, he might even split the MLAs in the days to come. Hence, his sacking, sources said.
