With all the exit poll surveys done by various news channels and survey organisations point to clean sweep by ruling TRS in GHMC elections, the Opposition parties in Telangana remain shell-shocked.
What shocked Opposition parties was that even some news channels and newspapers, which are considered to be supporters of TDP, BJP and Congress also predicted bumper majority for TRS in GHMC elections, and carried exit poll survey prominently in top headlines sending shivers down the spine of Opposition leaders.
They are worried at almost all the surveys predicting TRS to win 70 to 80 seats out of total 150 seats in GHMC, while TDP-BJP combine would only get 20 to 30 seats and Congress less than 10 seats. As usual the surveys say MIM would bag 40 seats.
If these surveys prove correct, then it would be tough for Opposition parties to recover in Telangana in near future.
All these parties are already hit by TRS "Operation Aakarsh" with largescale defections during the last 20 months, and TRS sweeping GHMC elections would only encourage even the remaining handful of leaders in these parties to defect to TRS.
Opposition parties are also worried over defection of party cadre into TRS and they can't stop their party workers from moving into TRS, if GHMC poll results on February 5 come along the lines of exit poll surveys.
