Ganga Takes Box Office By Storm

Ganga Takes Box Office By Storm

As expected Lawrence’s Ganga opened to thundering response at the box office. The film has suffered delayed release on Friday due to financial clearances, but that didn’t stop film lovers from thronging to the theaters in big numbers.

Luckily the other Friday release Uttama Villain didn’t make it to theaters making it a cakewalk for Ganga on its opening day.

As per trade estimates, Ganga has collected 3.55 crores on its first day, which is phenomenal by any yardstick.

High budget Tamil dubbed flicks I (7.5 crores+) and Lingaa (3.9 crores) were the only movies ahead of Ganga in terms of first day collections.

Ganga surpassed Robo first day collections too. Being a medium budget film with no big star in it, Ganga has created quite a sensation at the Box Office.

Collections on day 2 are exceptional says the reports from trade circles. Ganga is in for a very big weekend as Uttama Villain is yet to make it to the theaters.

Lawrence’s mass appeal and the popularity of Muni franchise along with the widely appealing genre (horror/comedy) is the main reason for Ganga’s thumping show.
