Gaddar Is Not Confident Of Win In Warangal?

Revolutionary singer Gaddar is said to be in two minds as to whether he should contest the forthcoming by-elections to Warangal Lok Sabha seat or not, as there was no guarantee of his victory.

It may be mentioned that as many as nine Left parties unanimously adopted a resolution requesting Gaddar to contest the by-elections on their behalf, but he wanted some time to decide.

Sources said Gaddar was aware of the fact though he enjoyed a lot of popularity among the masses, it might not translate into votes.

“All said and done, there is a difference between people liking him and voting for him,” a source said.

Gaddar recalled that Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi chief Manda Krishna Madiga had contested the Assembly elections from Madhira in Khammam district in the past, but lost elections miserably though the constituency had sizeable number of Madiga votes.

“What matters to the voters is money and liquor. So, it may not be possible to get their votes without spending money,” Gaddar is learnt to have told the Left parties.

However, there is a chance of Gaddar winning the elections, if the Congress and the TDP, too, support him in the by-elections.
