For A Change, Pawan Attacks Jagan, Too!

Actor-turned-Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, who has been going hammer and tongs at Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his government for the last two months, has been going soft towards YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

It is understandable because any opposition party leader criticises the ruling party, but not the other opposition leader as the latter does not have anything to be blamed for the miseries of the people.

But the TDP in Andhra Pradesh has been trying to project Pawan’s soft stand towards Jagan as collusive politics, alleging that Pawan and Jagan were hand in glove with each other and were acting at the behest of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

So, Pawan is now compelled to criticise Jagan at least to prove that he is not in collusion with the latter.

On Tuesday, Pawan made some critical comments against Jagan, stating that the YSRC president lacked sincerity in his fight against the Chandrababu Naidu government.

Referring to the closure of cooperative sugar mills at Tummapala in Anakapalle area in Visakhpatnnam district, Pawan sought to know why Jagan had remained silent for three years when the sugar factory was closed, which led to starvation deaths of factory workers.

He said both Naidu and Jagan should own up the responsibility for the closure of the Tummapala sugar factory.

“What is the point in speaking on streets, when you have the opportunity to raise the public issues in the state assembly? People have voted for you to take up their problems in the assembly and not to run away from it,” he said.

Pawan also found fault with Jagan for saying that he would get the factory reopened if he was voted to power.

“You can get the job done even without becoming the chief minister,” the Jana Sena leader said.
