A popular businessman, film producer and financier, who had also made a futile attempt to enter politics by contesting 2014 elections, is said to be playing active role in engaging the services of political strategist Prashant Kishor by the YSR Congress party for the 2019 elections.
According to reliable sources, the businessman would be bearing the entire cost of Prashant Kishor’s campaign strategy for the YSR Congress party.
He would also take care of the logistics of the strategist and his team, which would be extensively touring all parts of the state to help the party gain control over the constituencies.
In return, the businessman-cum-film producer might be offered a Lok Sabha ticket from Krishna or Guntur districts in the next general election.
Prashant would get into action in Andhra Pradesh soon after the completion of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab elections, scheduled to be held early 2017.
In the meantime, he reportedly told YSR congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to build a 10,000-member strong youth brigade to do ground-level study to pick up winning candidates, identifying issues that would prove negative to the Naidu government, taking up issues into the people in an effective manner and above all, effective media management.
