Few recruitments, huge salary hike for them!

Few recruitments, huge salary hike for them!

It has been more than two years since the Telangana government headed by KCR constituted the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) stating that it would fulfil the election promise of creating one lakh jobs and realise one of the objectives of Telangana movement – our state, our jobs.

But in the last two years, except a few hundred jobs, the TSPSC has failed to take up massive recruitments as promised by the TRS government.

Quite a few notifications were issued for Group I, II and other posts and a few recruitment tests were conducted, but the jobs are yet to come.

Most of the recruitment notifications and tests landed in court litigations either due to faulty recruitment process or strange conditions or grave mistakes in question papers. So, the job recruitment still remained on paper.

Yet, the government sought to increase the salaries of the TSPSC chairman and its members abnormally, causing further heart burn among the unemployed.

While the salary of TSPSC chairman went up from Rs 80,000 per month to Rs 2.25 lakh, the salary of each member of the commission was hiked from the existing Rs 79,000 per month to Rs 2.24 lakh.

“This government seems to be more interested in giving a quantum jump in the salaries of TSPSC chairman and members, than keeping its promise of providing lakhs of jobs to unemployed youth in the state,” Telangana PCC spokesman Dasoju Sravan said.
